One of the most amazing experiences I've had in Mexico I cannot believe what a beautiful place and people that are there highly recommended Don't listen to the news but get a good guide and make sure to experience the happiness the culture the food the community and the beautiful people of Mexico in a place that is magical and untouched compared to some of the other places in the world ... Nice archeological site but pricy. 40pesos entrance to biosfera, 90pesos entrance to Bonampak. And you need to leave your transportation and hire local. It's 8km and the price could be even 350pesos. Avoid staying at San Javier and around. There are high prices, poor service and people want your money badly, you can feel bad aura averywhere. River there is contaminated with sewage from all hauses.

The murals on site is really rare and extremely beautiful, especially the left and the right one. The central one is slightly faded.

Don't go during COVID! The entire place is closed off except for the open square. It's pointless. The people who run the place sneakily "forget" to mention that the whole building where the murals are displayed is closed. Disonhest.

Get ready for a 2 hour speed bump he'll drive from Palenque, and once you arrive you'll most likely be extorted. People on the road stopped us and said we can't drive our rental car in, we need to take a taxi. No other option but to pay $500 pesos. Otherwise very nice ruins, very beautiful, not frequented by big tour groups.

Visited this gem in 2001. The only other people there were a group of Vanderbilt students. There was no gate or ticket booth since literally the place was otherwise empty. Incredible ruins very well-preserved. Highly recommended.

Fantastic, jawdropping, hairrising, thought provoking ant taking you back in time to Aztec (?) times or Maya times. Not sure exactly. Please feel free to correct me.
